free cake helpful staff daily adventure city attractions
I appreciated the complimentary cake and drink in the foyer each afternoon. It was a nice touch. the breakfast was good, preparing me for my daily adventures. the hotel's location allowed easy walks to main attractions, a definite plus.
The bathroom was quite small. The shower cubicle felt cramped because i kept bumping into the curtain during showers.
Rooms

My room included comfortable beds. I also had adequate space. the room had sufficient lighting for reading. i found that the room had a functional layout for a short stay.
Facilities

excellent breakfasts and helpful staff

lovely breakfasts afternoon cake helpful staff
i really liked that the hotel served those lovely breakfasts and afternoon cake (it was such a nice gesture). the staff were very helpful. we arrived earlier than expected and were ready to just store our luggage until check-in time, but the kind lady at reception checked for us and found that our room was already ready, so we were able to settle in much earlier! the hotel's location is great as well-very close to the center and rainbow street.
there were hairs found in the shower and on the bedding. additionally, the water in the shower had a strong sulfuric odor, likely due to the geothermal source from nearby hot springs. while this is understandable, other hotels typically filter the water to reduce the smell, leaving guests feeling clean and refreshed after a shower.
Service
9/10
the receptionist was very accommodating and professional, handling multiple tasks efficiently. having tea or coffee and cake available at 5 pm every day was a nice touch. there was also a table tennis game available .
Facilities
8/10
the hotel was clean and provided everything needed for my stay. unlimited hot drinks and freshly baked cake were available in the afternoons. the breakfast buffet had a good amount of choice and the stations were replenished regularly.
Location
9/10
the location is slightly further from the city center, offering a quiet environment. it is about a half-hour walk to most venues. the bus stop is only a 5-minute walk away from the hotel.

Solid choice for my stay

helpful staff complimentary coffee dedicated parking
The staff was indeed helpful, especially when I needed directions. The complimentary coffee and cake in the afternoon was a nice touch. I particularly enjoyed that there was dedicated on-site parking available at no extra cost. This made things much easier, as i rented a car to explore the area.
The shower had a noticeable sulfuric odor from the geothermal water. I understand this is natural, but filtering might improve the experience.
Location
8/10
The hotel is convenient with its proximity to key city attractions. It is approximately a 15-minute walk to destinations such as Hallgrímskirkja church and the Opera house, offering an easy option for exploration.
Rooms
